PRINT or EDIT ALL Worksheets at Once

Excel workbooks with multiple worksheets (tabs) in it can have changes made to all worksheets (tabs) at one time. The same is true for printing all (or selected) worksheets at one time.

Print multiple worksheets (tabs) at one time:
  • Holding the "Control" button down, click on each worksheet tab you want to print
    • This makes each tab you have selected as "active"
    • When you click on each tab, you'll notice the tab turn the same color as the others you have selected
  • Select "Print", and you will see that under the "Print what" section, the "Active sheet(s)" is selected.
  • Click the "Preview" button to see what will print
  • Click "OK" to print
Change (Add/Change/Delete/Format) multiple worksheets (tabs) at one time:
  • Holding the "Control" button down, click on each worksheet tab you want to print
    • This makes each tab you have selected as "active"
    • When you click on each tab, you'll notice the tab turn the same color as the others you have selected
  • In one of the worksheets (tabs), make the changes you want.
    • NOTE: This will change the SAME CELLS in all of the other "Active" worksheets (tabs)
  • Make sure that once you are done with the multiple active worksheets (tabs), you "deactivate" all sheets (eg. switch back to one sheet)
    • To do this, move cursor over one tab, click your "right" mouse button, and select "Ungroup sheets"
Be careful!.. make sure only the tabs you want to change are active!!
